About the Package:

Regular blood testing is one of the most important ways to keep track of overall physical well-being. Getting tested at routine intervals helps keep track of your health over time and empowers you to make informed decisions about your health. Blood tests can help your doctor determine how efficiently your organs are working. Examples of organs whose malfunctions can be visible in a blood test are your thyroid, liver, or kidneys.

Blood glucose regulation:

A blood glucose regulation test measures the glucose levels, HbA1C and insulin levels in your blood. Too much or too little glucose in the blood can be a sign of a serious medical condition. High blood glucose levels may be a sign of diabetes, a disorder that can lead to other chronic conditions such as heart disease, blindness, kidney failure and other complications. Low blood glucose levels can also lead to major health problems, if not treated. HbA1c test may be used to check for diabetes or prediabetes conditions.

What does Health Intelligence test tests?

Lipid Profile:

A lipid panel is performed to monitor and screen for your risk of cardiovascular disease. The panel includes three measurements of your total cholesterol levels, both the harmful LDL cholesterol and the good HDL cholesterol levels and the measurement of your triglycerides. Having too many lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides) in your blood can lead to plaque buildup in your blood vessels and arteries, which can cause damage and increase your risk of cardiovascular problems.

Vitamin and Minerals:

Vitamins and minerals (generally termed “micronutrients”) are one of the major groups of nutrients the body needs. Vitamins and minerals are considered essential nutrients as they perform hundreds of roles in the body. Lack of nutrients can result in undernutrition, which can lead to deficiency syndromes (eg, kwashiorkor, pellagra) and consumption of less than optimal amounts of important vitamins, minerals, and other compounds can still contribute to a number of major illnesses, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and osteoporosis.

Iron markers:

Iron plays a very important role in maintaining many body functions, including the production of hemoglobin, the molecule in your blood that carries oxygen. Iron is also necessary to maintain healthy cells, skin, hair, and nails. Iron deficiency is diagnosed by blood tests. Additional tests such as serum ferritin, iron, total iron-binding capacity, and/or transferrin are required to understand how well your blood carries iron, and how much iron is stored in your tissues.

Electrolytes:

Electrolytes are salts and minerals, such as sodium, potassium, chloride and bicarbonate, which are found in the blood. Electrolytes generally include sodium, chloride, potassium, and bicarbonate. They help control muscle and nerve activity, heart rhythm, and other important functions. Abnormal levels of these electrolytes can be a sign of serious health problems, including kidney disease, high blood pressure, and a life-threatening irregularity in heart rhythm.

Organ function Panel:

Organ function tests are carried out to assess whether a particular organ is functioning normally or not. Some important organ function tests include liver function tests, renal function tests and thyroid function tests. Blood tests can be used in a number of ways, such as helping to diagnose a condition, and assessing the health of these organs. These tests also play a major role in assessing the persons who are at risk for diseases such as having a family history of diabetes, heart, kidney, or liver diseases.

Inflammation:

A C-reactive protein test measures the level of c-reactive protein (CRP) in your blood. CRP is a protein made by your liver. It is sent into your bloodstream in response to inflammation. Inflammation is the body's way of protecting your tissues if you've been injured or have an infection. Normally, the body will have low levels of c-reactive protein in the blood. High levels may be a sign of a serious infection or other disorder.
